Other Skills

In the electrical engineering lab, I have designed a heart rate amplifier circuit on SPICE, prototyped it on the breadboard and evaluated its performance on the oscilloscope with my lab partner.

I have soldered a Voice Changer Electronic Kit individually.

In the mechanical engineering workshop, I have developed my cutting, drilling, and milling skills. I learnt to analysis the material properties of an object from tensile tests and hardness tests. I am trained in Zwick machines and AFR machines during my placement at GlaxoSmithKline.

I have participated in the Dyson Challenge, at where I brainstormed a machine that can “moving objects using air” with my three teammates and rapid prototyped it using components of a Dyson vacuum cleaner and cardboards.

I accomplished a Product Design summer course at Central Saint Martins, at where I designed a lamp from concept generation, storyboarding to rapid prototyping.

I have volunteered in The Big Bang Fair in 2012, at where I learnt and demonstrated how haptic technology can be used to improve surgical experiences.

I have been enjoying visiting in museums and galleries, from where I have got lots of inspirations. I have also got inspired by the nature. I recorded those using photos and sketches.
